Neighborly
Did you know people still did this? Our doorbell rang the other day and a lady was standing there with an empty cereal bowl. "Hi, we haven't met, but I'm Cathy and I live two doors down. Can I borrow two tablespoons of lemon juice?" Fortunately, I was able to fulfill her request. What would you have to do before you went to a neighbor you've never met for a $1.50 grocery item? Has this ever happened to you?

I've borrowed and shared lots of stuff with housemates of the past and present.
But I'm guessing that your neighbor has been wanting to meet your baby.
Did she at least bring you some of the lemon squares that she was making?
Totally not. Now I wonder if she even saw Ella when she was on our step. I'm sure she saw Carson though...he was not pleased to have unannounced guests that night.
